Mindy Torres teaches 9th grade English at Fresno High. She was born in Montclair, California, and she has lived in Fresno for ten years. She grew up in San Diego County, in Oceanside/Carlsbad (near LegoLand!, but she's never been to LegoLand because it's like living near Disney.) She has been married to her husband Abram for four years and does not have any kids. She and her husband have two dogs, Lily and Jack, black and brown Labrador retrievers, and also a cat named Abby, who gets along with the dogs and has green eyes. Mindy loves to be at home and to be settled in her own cozy space, but she also loves to travel. In the future she would love to visit the wine country of Italy, possibly Tuscany. Wine tasting and eating italian food while in Italy that uses all the fresh vegetables she loves would be a dream vacation. That would be way more fun and adventurous than going to farmers market at Fresno State or searching for new recipes in magazines. She also loves camping and bike riding. Mindy's personal statement
